Silver Tea Service
Guests enjoying an Afternoon Tea or High Tea Service at the Martine Inn on the Monterey Peninsula will experience three to five courses of tea sandwiches, finger-foods, cheeses, pastries and sweets paired with a variety of lovely choices of steaming teas to accompany the delicious treats.
During the Silver Tea Service, guests will be using the Lancaster Rose flatware that was introduced by Gorham at the 1895 New York World’s Fair. It is an elaborate pattern with beaded edges and rosebuds on every piece of the 40-piece per person place settings and 105 serving utensils. The Martine Inn has collected serving sets for 60 persons. Guests will be eating with implements from a bygone era of luxury cuisine and some utensils guests may not recognize.
