Martine Inn Precautions-Preventive Actions For Covid-19 and Updated Martine Inn Policies as of July 31, 2020

***Special Note: This is Mr. Martine’s Home and as a high risk category person for the virus, he and his staff take extra care and precautions to insure his continued health at the Martine Inn and that of his visiting guests, staff and employees.

*All Common Areas and Surfaces are Cleaned and Sanitized Several Times Daily.

*Public Hand Sanitizer  and Hand Soap is Available for Guests.

*All staff are required and provided with correct daily PPE: Masks, gloves, hand sanitizer and hand soap for their and guest safety.

*All Guests and Staff are required to wear Mandated Facial Coverings or Masks during their Stay-Time at the Inn and are required to adhere to the Social Distancing Guidelines of  keeping at least 6 Feet Apart from others during their stay at the Inn.

*Guest Temperature Testing will be conducted for all guests as part of the Check-In procedure.

*Any Guest  that exhibits Covid-19 symptoms-Cough, Fever, Sore Throat will be asked to vacate the Inn for the safety of our other guests and our staff.

**We are CLEAN + SAFE CERTIFIED  by the CHLA and AHLA standards.

*All Rooms are Disinfected with a high grade Lemon Cleaner that is a Disinfectant-Virucide-Germ Killer and Deodorizer. Average hotel room cleaning time is 26 minutes, the Martine Inn averages 45-60 minutes in each room for cleaning. Rooms are left closed several hours after guest check-outs before room cleaning begins for our staff’s safety and the rooms are frequently vacant for up to 24 hours after a check-out for the next guest’s safety. There will be ‘No Room Service’ during a guest stay- extra towels can be requested from the housekeeping staff if needed.

*Room  and Parlor Windows are left open to let in and circulate the fresh Monterey Bay air.

**Check-In Times Are Now 3-8 PM-No Exceptions. There Will Not Be Any Late Arrivals Allowed- all guests must arrive at the Inn by 8PM  while an Innkeeper is on duty or the reservation will be cancelled and is non-refundable. Guests will have up to 72 hours before arrival dates to cancel their reservation if they are not able to check in by 8PM.Guests  will be emailed our Contact-Less Registration, Check-In E-Sign Form at least 24 hours before arrival dates. Signatures are required before arrival please.

**Check-Out of the Room Times are before or by 11AM- No Exceptions.

*Please-No Cash will be accepted for any purchases or tips. Please ask the Innkeeper to add any purchases or gratuity’s onto the  guest room credit card.

*Because of the high touch-point exposure, we are no longer offering the Lobby Coffee and Tea Bar, fruit bowls or daily cookies.

*We have reduced the number of rentable rooms to provide safety standards for our guests and staff. Most rooms have seating areas for dining options as listed below:

**Our Full-Service Breakfast  in the Dining Parlor 8-10 am  and is limited to 4 to 6 persons per table to keep safety distances between guests. All Inn food will be covered in sanitary plastic wrap before served at the dining table. If guests choose to have their breakfast served in their room, there is a $20 Service Fee Per Room Per Day for this option and the staff must be contacted by 11am for Breakfast tray pickup.

*If a guest is Ordering-Out for Food there is a $20 Service Fee for supplying plates, glasses, utensils, etc. to eat in the room.

**Wine and Hors d’ oeuvres is no longer buffet style and is set up in the Ocean View Dining Parlor from  5-6:30 PM and will close at 6:30 PM. Individual trays with food for 2 persons are set up and wrapped in plastic and guests can take trays into the Dining Parlor or Their Rooms Only and trays will need to be picked up by 7PM.

**Dining In the Parlor– If a guest wishes to enjoy their take-out meal in our Ocean View Parlor from 6:30 to 8pm there is a $30 per couple or person service-usage fee for extended dining hours. Beer, Wine, Sparkling Wine or Sparkling Cider are available for purchase from the Martine Inn.

*There are over 36 Restaurants open for take out food and outdoor seating in Pacific Grove from Carl’s JR. to Wild Fish Restaurant.

*All Dishes, Glasses, Silverware are Sanitized Daily with a High Temperature Commercial Sanitizer.

*All Laundry is Washed with Hypoallergenic Soap in High Temperature Commercial Machines.

*We are constantly evaluating the current conditions, government  and health mandates and updating our safety methods to insure that the Martine Inn provides the best guest experience possible, especially during these cautious times.
