Welcome to the Victoriana room - an especially romantic guest room and a popular favorite with couples in love! This room has five matching pieces that we were lucky to find, one at a time. Its location is also of interest. This guest room is on the ground floor and was once the cooks’ quarters. It had only 6 ½ foot ceilings so the floor had to be dug out and lowered.

Within this special room you will find a wealth of fine antiques: an1860’s American walnut railroad pattern - 5 piece bedroom set, hand carved bed with arched shelf and carved crown; 1900 pair of carved onyx lamps with lace and fringed shades; 1880 Eastlake upholstered 2-person settee - ebonized; 1880 Eastlake upholstered ebonized armchair; 1860 Painted Lincoln rocker - black.

Of further interest is an 1860 Walnut turtleback table, 4 leg, 4 turned posts, center finial; 1910 Brass floor bridge lamp with marble; 1910 Oriental table lamp carved amber; 1900 Pierced silver bridal basket; 1860 Pair of marble top American walnut night stands, arch applied, 1 door and 1 drawer with applied railroad and acorn drawer pulls; 1860 Marble top American walnut dresser, 4 drawers, railroad applied with grape wood pulls, 2 xxx-boxes mirror candle shelves and carved arched shelf crown; 1900 Chased silver vase; 1860 Pair carved night lamps with scalloped fringed shades; 1900 Walnut French armoire, 3 doors, 1 beveled arched in mirror.

As you enter the bathroom, you are sure to be fascinated by: an 1860 American walnut marble top washstand with marble candle shelves, arched marble top, 1 drawer - railroad applied with grape handles, 2 doors; 1890 Marble top China basin - square; and a finely tiled shower.
