Welcome to the Parke room - a stunningly romantic suite that overlooks the rocky coastline of the Monterey Bay. This room was the original master bedroom and has stayed that way, even during Don Martine’s occupation of the house. From the front of this room, you can watch both the sunrise and sunset.

Within the Parke room you will discover many fine antiques - a study in exquisite design and carpentry: an 1860 American Chippendale Revival Mahogany 3 piece bedroom set including Lowboy Dresser, 4 drawers, Highboy Dresser, 13 drawers and 4-poster canopy bed. These are signed pieces with carved acanthus leaves, fluted columns, carved shell fronts, original brass bail handles, cabriole ball and claw legs, elaborate crest carved, applied and center finial, beveled mirror; 1850 Beidemeyer nitestands, brown marble top, bow front, 1 drawer 1 door, reeded and rounded corners; 1880 Chippendale mahogany armchair; 1880 Armoire walnut French crotch veneer single arched door with beveled mirror and finials.

Looking further you are sure to notice: an 1880 Silver bridal basket; 1890 Mahogany and tile fireplace; 1910 Wooden carved octagon base floor lamp – reeded column lace fringe shade; 1910 Wooden carved round base floor lamp fluted column, lace and fringe shade; 1920 Reeded rectangular footstool; 1900 Black marble porcelain face inlaid clock with 2 candle stands.

Entering the bathroom through the elegant French doors you will find a 1900 5 ½ foot claw foot tub with shower and an 1890 Marble topped porcelain basin.
