Welcome to the Malarin room - a truly historic guest room that contains furniture made for the Malarin family - a very wealthy family in Monterey County that received 250,000 acres from the queen of Spain. This furniture was exhibited in the Chicago Worlds Fair in 1893.

As you relax into this fascinating room, you will soon discover many interesting antiques: an 1893 Mahogany American Eastlake queen bed rope corner columns extensive carving - very elaborate; 1920 Pr American mahogany Duncan Phyfe night stands 2 drawers glass pulls; 1910 Cut ruby glass on brass/marble base bedside lamps with fringed shades; 1900 Oak fireplace front double mantle 4 column rectangular beveled mirror marble hearth acorn finials; 1893 Mahogany American Eastlake brown marble top dresser with huge round beveled mirror, some velvet lined drawers, 5 drawers, 2 doors rope corner columns extensive carvings; 1900 Oak and leather arm chair pressed back, upholstered seat; 1860 Rosewood armoire, 1 door, beveled arched mirror, 1 drawer, crotch and checkerboard marquetry.
