Welcome to the Cottage room - a romantic hideaway in a separate 1904 building with shiplap siding and above one of Don’s historic cars. The multiple floor levels were created to let in the tall, older cars below and produce a bed height that affords a great view down 3rd Street to the water.

This room has many special features and furnishings. As you enter the room you will soon discover: an 1880 Eastlake American walnut queen bed, crested headboard with incised lines and applied burled veneer; 1860 Renaissance Revival nightstand, walnut with applied beveled veneer with 1 drawer and 1 door; 1900 Pair elaborately carved soap stone cream lamps with fringed shades; 1880 rectangular quadruple framed Jessoed gilded beveled mirror; 1880 Walnut American Eastlake dresser mirror, candle shelves, incised lines, 3 drawers, applied crotch burled walnut, grey marble top.

Settling into the room, you may begin to discern other fine antiques: an 1880 Silver wedding basket, round, chaised, with hinged handle, on stand (Middleton Plate Co. 1771); 1900 Oak upholstered rocker; 1860 Walnut carved finger mould upholstered balloon back chair; 1880 Oval walnut side table, grey marble top, 4 legs, center-turned post with top and bottom finials; 1880 Oil lamp, converted marble brass and glass, fringed shade; 1880 Walnut American Pier Mirror, carved columns, white marble shelf, incised lines, crested top piercing, 4 finials.

Exploring the bathroom you will find: an 1890 4 ½ foot claw foot tub; 1900 Grey marble top basin; 1870 Eastlake walnut framed mirror with incised lines and ebonizing; and a 1900 5 reeded panel doors with glass handled hardware.
