Welcome to the Carriage Room – This ground-floor room that once housed the Parkes’ 1936 Dual-Cowl Packard Phaeton, is now the bright and colorfully bloom-decorated room with a pillow-top king-size bed, a claw-foot tub and a wood-burning fireplace with complimentary wood.

Carriage Room is located in the Courtyard Area and has a 36”-wide entry door, 36”-wide bathroom doorway, raised toilet, raised sink area and brass grab bars in the commode area.

Welcome to the Mahogany Room – Tucked around the corner of the 1887 Gabled House, surrounded by flowering plants with a porch setting, it has an unusual wide paneled glass door that leads into the oldest building in the complex. This comfortable ground-level room has 10-ft. ceilings, a king-size pillow-top bed, a wood-burning fireplace with complimentary wood and soothing wallpaper.

Welcome to the Art Deco Room -This is one of the rarest and most fashionable rooms for guests who enjoy privacy, an artistic flare for original art deco, and perhaps a literary escape besides the fireplace. This second-level room in the main building is furnished with both Art Deco and Art Nouveau and is very authentic with original pieces from 1900 through the 1920’s. It has a king-size pillow-top bed, a fabulous iridescent glass chandelier, a wood-burning fireplace with complimentary wood and a tub-shower combination.

Welcome to the Malarin Room – This is a truly historic guest room that contains furniture made for the Malarin family – a very wealthy family in Monterey County that received 250,000 acres from the Queen of Spain. This furniture was exhibited in the Chicago World’s Fair in 1893.With north-facing windows that provide a partial ocean view and side windows overlooking the flowering courtyard, a king-size pillow-top bed, a wood-burning fireplace with complimentary wood and a claw-foot tub, this upstairs room remains a favorite with guests.

Welcome to the Brass Room – Located in the Gabled House adjacent to the main Inn, with heirloom rose bushes to its front, this stylish ground-floor room has a leaded glass window, leaded glass door, a bay window seating area, a large authentic Monterey-Jade stone front, wood-burning fireplace with complimentary wood, a pillow-top king-size brass bed and a claw-foot tub. This room was the original living room of this 1887 Victorian home.
